Magnetic: A Poetic Experiment
Magnetic: A Poetic Experiment is the culmination of a year long poetry challenge I did in 2011. Every week for a year I created a new poem on my fridge using Magnetic Poetry. I documented the process on my blog and decided to publish the photos all together in a book. Ultimately this project was a way to think creatively and to challenge myself by putting constraints in place. Poems emerged with truths I had been trying to push away. Others created such beautiful language that the meaning came second. Looking back on the poems I can remember particular feelings, exact moments in my life. This project was as much a creative exercise as it was a memory keeping one.
